Wake up, Crafty Pandas! Summer’s here! And along come hot and sunny days, outdoor activities, lots of sunbathing, and splashin’ in the pool! With these cool summer hacks, we’ll get rid of all the stress caused by the heat of the sun, lack of refreshments, or other unexpected malfunctions that happen all the time! So lay back and enjoy! Lift iiiiit! Aaaand right! Right where? Left.
.. Aaaaaand splash! Hey, hey, watch where you’re splashing! Okay, I’m done with this. Enjoy the pool, Jess. It’s all yours. So the simple pool noodle doesn’t seem entertaining enough. Why don’t we upgrade it a bit? Insert a rope into a couple of pool noodles.
One end of it for each. And tie it to connect the noodles. What is it good for, you ask? Just lay down and show Jess how to use a pool noodle. See? You’re supposed to be swimming in a pool, not just standing there and splashing, silly! Ah, gotta love summer! In summer, a pool ring is one of the most usable items! But the thing is, it’s not immune to damage.
So you gotta take care of it from time to time, right, Em? Whoa, now this is what happens when you don’t. Summer’s far from over, so let’s fix it! You’re saying that buying a new one is the easiest solution? We’ll see about that! Put a piece of baking paper underneath the ripped part and fold it.
Then iron it. The temperature is enough to melt the plastic and connect the layers back together as if nothing happened! Awesome! Let the summer season proceed! Drifting off! Ah, it’s getting chilly, isn’t it, Jess? No wonder, look at the wind! I know it’s not visible but… you sure can… feel it… [chuckle] That towel does not like you, girl.
Or maybe it just needs some DIY magic! Crop out pieces like this from an old towel. Take the rectangular one, fold it, and sew one edge of it. Now take two bigger ones, preferably the same size and color.
This piece is gonna turn into a spacious pocket. And this is – you guessed it – a hoodie! Sew along the lines as shown. It’s really easy when you use a sewing machine. And off we go! Windy day or not, this towel hoodie cloak will stay on you at all times! And that extra breeze won’t be a problem anymore! All your problems – gone with the wind! This craft sure blows my mind! Or maybe it’s just the wind… [chuckle] Don’t forget your sunscreen, Emily! Every part of your skin has to be protected, including your back… Ah, great.
.. Good thing that Jacob’s by your side… sleeping peacefully. Come on, sweetie, sunscreen won’t just magically appear on Emily’s back. The sun is smiling at you! Well, at least it’s soon going to! If he’s not putting that sunscreen on your back, then Emily will do that for Jacob! But in her own way! [chuckle] That sure turned that frown upside down! One or a couple of naps later, the sun did its job! Told you it’s smiling on you, Jacob! [chuckle] At least we’re gonna have some good Instagram material! Rise and shine, sweetie! And he doesn’t even realize that his back just became a photo celebrity! [chuckle] Well, now he does! [laughter] Come on, Jacob, smile! That’s the face! [chuckle] Ah, it’s so hot.
It’s hard to find a proper refreshment for coffee lovers, isn’t it, Maria? But an emergency recipe might just save you big time. We’ll need 200 milliliters of cream. The same amount of coffee. And a bit of maple syrup.
In fact, feel free to use any kind of syrups that you’ve got. Stir it a bit. Grab a silicone ice cream tray and pour the mixture inside it. Top up all the sections! Most of the trays have lids like these, but in case it doesn’t, don’t forget to throw a popsicle stick inside.
Freeze it for at least 2 hours and we’re done! Latte Ice Cream! Yum! Perfect weather for a bike ride! Even better when you have a bottle of soda at hand! One you could easily open, at least…. Better spin the wheel of fortune and pop that drink open! Ah, as easy as a ride in the park, wouldn’t you say? Ah! Not this again! You, girls, need a flatter surface to keep your refreshments steady! Grab a round wooden board and draw an outline using a pencil.
Now paint the middle part red. It’s best if you use acrylics for this. Add some white strokes around it. And now, paint the outlines green. Ah, it already looks refreshing! Water’bout the seeds, though? It’s best to use a thinner brush for that.
After the paint dries, cover the whole surface with wood varnish for protection and a long-lasting effect. Take an old spoon. Most of the time, they’re made of soft metals, so it shouldn’t be hard to bend it this way.
You’ll need a couple of those. Grab a drill and make some holes in both the spoon and the board. Insert some screws to keep everything intact. The spoons are the perfect handles for our freshly made DIY coaster! Although this is just one of a melon designs you can make! [chuckle] As long as it keeps your drinks and snacks steady, it doesn’t really matter how it looks.
Am I right, girls? What nice weather for… something refreshing…. For this, you will need small balloons. Fill them with wate… Oh, not that easy, huh… Why don’t we use this soap dispenser instead? Fill it with water, it shouldn’t be too hard! And start pumping! Perfect! Just don’t forget to secure it by tying a knot! But let’s not stop there, keep pumping! We need to get our ammunition ready for this battle! Believe me, the more, the better! [evil chuckle] And now, you guessed it, get splashin’! Surprise! Hey Crafty Pandas! I hope you’re enjoying this video as much as Jacob is.
